Our space is wheelchair and pram friendly. Our toilet facilities are accessible. We have a fridge, microwave & sandwich toaster for people who want to bring snacks. There is also tea and coffee available. We also have car parking at our centre.
Social craft club
Join us for our open-table social craft on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm to 8pm. Bring along your own craft project and supplies and come together with fellow craft enthusiasts to unwind, create and share in our weekly fun and casual craft session. Whether you’ve been crafting for years or looking to start a new hobby this is the perfect space to share ideas and connect with fellow makers.

Cuppa Club - all women welcome
Have a midweek break with friendly faces and good vibes over a warm cuppa.

Sewing, crafter and machine embroidery group
Join our new sewing crafter and machine embroidery group starting on Wednesday 21 January. Bring along your project, all welcome. If you need help with Sewing or Machine embroidery happy to help.

Singing Mamas - all women welcome
Pause, connect, and recharge with soothing songs and harmonies. Perfect for Mamas and their bubs, but all women are welcome. Tea and coffee included.

Book Lover's Club
Our book club is a welcoming space for women who like to process and talk about the books they’ve read. There is no set book to read and no pressure to finish a book on a fixed time schedule, its just a nice gathering of casual book lovers where we create new social connections and talk about what we loved and didn’t love about the books we're reading and have read.
Date: Fortnightly on Friday evenings (6 February, 20 February, 6 March, 20 March)

What to bring: Just yourself and some thoughts about the books you've started or finished, loved or hated.
Sunday Morning Strolls
Fancy a bit of fresh air and a friendly chat? We've started a new all-abilities women's walking group. We welcome all fitness levels, and mums with bubs and prams are most welcome. The walk time and length will be flexible depending on what the group feels like on the day.
Date: Weekly on Sunday mornings
Time: 8am
Cost: Walking is free but if we have time we stop for a coffee after our walk at the coffee shop.
Location: Mills Park in Beckenham. We meet at the picnic benches outside the coffee shop "Fika on Brix". There's plenty of parking and bathrooms nearby.
What to bring: A hat and water. And don’t forget to wear sunscreen. Regular walkers are invited to join our walking group WhatsApp group for last-minute updates.
Build a Portable Picnic Table with Wine Glass Holder workshop
Join our hands-on woodworking workshop and build your own portable round picnic table with built-in wine glass holders, crafted from food-safe materials — perfect for charcuterie, cheese, and outdoor entertaining. Shibori Silk Ribbon Jewellery Workshop
In this hands-on workshop, you will create a stunning one-of-a-kind piece using hand-dyed Silk Shibori Ribbon, sparkling beads, and crystals. You will learn how to hand-sew your own unique design — whether a brooch, pendant, or fabric embellishment to frame and display. Suitable for beginners.

GWC Open Day *Free entry* Everyone welcome
Bring your family and come and visit us at our open day. Celebrate National Women's Shed week and take a tour of your local women's shed and learn more about our activities. Devonshire morning tea available for sale.

Whittling Workshop
Learn traditional techniques, work with real tools and materials, and create your own handcrafted timber piece to take home. This relaxed, supportive session is designed for all skill levels and is perfect for anyone wanting to try something new, build confidence, and enjoy a creative, community-based experience.

Mindful Self-Compassion workshop - all women welcome
To kick off 2026, we're teaming up with Befriend Inc to bring you the Short Course in Mindful Self-Compassion. So, if you’d like to make friends with yourself, show up for yourself, and put yourself at the top of your To Do List in 2026, this is a great way to discover practices that will help you do just that. Join us where we warmly explore the art, science, and practice of self-compassion. Together, we'll build self-confidence, nurture self-worth, and ease the stress of daily life.
Date: Weekly on Saturday afternoons - 7 February, 14 February, 21 February, 28 February, 7 March and 14 March (it is best if you can attend all sessions as they build upon each other each week).

Frientimacy book club - all are welcome
Develop flourishing friendships with your local community. Over five sessions you’ll be reading Frientimacy by Shasta Nelson, you’ll get to explore her practical tips for deepening friendships. Join us for a friendship-filled book club and develop flourishing friendships in our local community.
Date: Fortnightly on Friday evenings on 24 April, 8 May, 22 May, 5 June and 19 June (it is best if you can attend all sessions as we will be practicing what we learn and meeting up with the same people consistently is part of this).
